You don't need a perfect setup before you take your first booking. You need enough structure that today's information lands somewhere sensible.

Day one: services and prices

Everything else references your services, so start there. Put each one in the right category (boarding, daycare, grooming, walking, training) so booking forms only offer what makes sense.

Day two: import clients and pets

Bring in the list you already have, even if it's imperfect. Records improve every time someone visits; an empty system improves never.

Day three: this week's bookings

Enter the current week only. Once the board reflects reality, staff start trusting it, and trust is what makes them use it.

Day four: invite your team

Give each person the role that matches their job. Staff see reservations and profiles; managers handle day-to-day operations; the owner keeps billing.

Day five: turn on reminders

Confirmations and pick-up reminders remove the largest share of your phone calls. Switch them on last, once the underlying data is right.

Want the admin side handled?

JAP keeps bookings, records and reminders in one place, so the routines above run themselves.
