Setting up JAP for training

Training work is a sequence, not a one-off. Set it up so each session builds visibly on the last.

Steps

  1. Add your session types

One-to-one, group or assessment, each with its real duration and price.

  2. Decide how you sell blocks

If you sell packages of sessions, record them consistently so progress is countable.

  3. Set up client records

The handler matters as much as the dog — keep contact details current.

  4. Write session notes as you go

A short note after each session is what makes the next one useful.

Day-to-day operations

  • Review notes before the session, not after.
  • Send the owner a short summary of what to practise.

Suggested first steps

  • Add your session types.
  • Load current clients.
  • Run one session end to end with notes.
