How to set up payments and invoices

Invoicing in JAP starts from the work you've already recorded, so what you charge matches what you did. You can draft and send invoices straight away; taking card payments online needs your payment details connected first.

What you end up with: Invoices going out the same day the work happens.

Steps

  1. Check your business details

Name, address and contact details appear on every invoice.

  2. Price your services

Invoices pull from service prices, so accurate services mean accurate invoices.

  3. Create your first invoice

Build it from a booking or from scratch, review the lines and send it.

  4. Connect payments when you want cards

Online card payment needs payment setup completed; until then you can still invoice and record payment yourself.

  5. Agree how you handle mistakes

Invoices can be voided or deleted, with an undo, so a wrong invoice isn't a crisis.

Recommended setup

  • Invoice on the day of the service while the detail is fresh.
  • Use consistent service names — clients read the invoice line, not your internal shorthand.

Tips

  • Invoicing is available on paid plans; see pricing for what's included at each tier.
