Grooming setup/8 min

Setting up JAP for grooming

Grooming is a timing business. If your service durations are honest, the calendar does its job; if they're optimistic, every day runs late.

Steps

  1. Add grooming services with real durations

Include the drying, the tidying and the pauses — not just the clipper time.

  2. Split by size or coat

Separate entries where the time and price genuinely differ.

  3. Add prices per service

So the invoice writes itself at the end of the appointment.

  4. Record coat, behaviour and handling notes

On the pet, so the next groomer starts where you left off.

  5. Set reminders

A reminder before the appointment is the cheapest no-show prevention there is.

Day-to-day operations

  • Work from the day's appointment timeline.
  • Photograph the finish and send it — it sells the next booking better than any advert.
  • Invoice at pick-up while the detail is fresh.

Suggested first steps

  • Add your service list.
  • Check a normal day fits.
  • Book, complete and invoice one real appointment.
